About Tooth Jewelry
Tooth jewelry is a small gem designed to bond firmly to the surface of the tooth. It is safe for all ages and on permanent or primary teeth making it a great substitute for little girls who may not be ready to get their ears pierced but want something fun!
Two options of gems are available. One is made of 22-24k gold or 18k white gold set with diamonds or precious stones covering 1/4 - 1/3 of the surface - tiny and elegant it will enhance your smile without risk if damage or allergies. The other is a Swarovski Crystal made of many colors and shapes.
Our Process
- For a durable bonding, gems are glued with a dental composite glue by a professional. The bonding procedure is exactly like that of orthodontic braces and placed by a professional with 20+ years of experience. The adhesive is applied by the dental professional to the tooth, the gem is then set in place and light cured for 60 seconds to harden the composite. The wearer may
feel the gem during the first few days of attachment. However, should quickly get used to the presence of the gem. They are small and flat, designed to be barley felt.
I am a registered dental assistant qualifited to place tooth gems so no worries of damaging the tooth with non-dental techniques or from unqualified technicians. They are actually placed the same as orthodontic braces which has been my career before opening Valor Beauty and is currently. I have been in the dental field for over 20 years now. Placement of the gems do not harm the structure of the tooth in any way and using the same technique as in an orthodontic office. I actually have one and its lasted for 20 years!! I am dedicated to providing personalized and professional services. I love what I do and it shows in my work.
Removal should be performed by a dental professional. Removal is done by the dentist or dental hygienist in the same manner braces are removed – the gem is polished off and will leave no visible mark on the tooth. Good oral hygiene is highly recommended to avoid decalcification marks.
